Multiplayer mode does not work

2025 update- developers don’t seem to care to fix problems. Have played this game for well over 10 years. It’s simple but enjoyable for all ages. I realize it may no longer be supported since the last update was 5 years ago - but, in the slightest chance that it is, I am hoping for a fix to a simple problem. After taking a turn, I must close the app and restart before I can take another turn with a different player. Same goes for anything else I try to tap on, like settings.

the game has bugs. some players cheat. pushing the ships one after the other. these are usually players with a very high rating of 80-95% it's very frustrating what the game allows you to do. disappointed. I do not recommend.

This app and the Multi-shot app are fun but both are glitching now on my phone and my husband’s phone. We usually have 3-4 games going at once and don’t have a problem but since the last iOS update you are forced to close the app and reopen to go from game to game rather than just clicking on the next game where it’s your turn. It’s also very annoying that there is no way to submit a problem within the app.

This game is easy and simple. It can start a rivalry between friends that you make on this platform. It’s awesome that you can openly send messages to your opponents. Many games have stopped that function. Fire away!

The screen locks up on games page. You must delete and re-install, but you will only get 1 shot before it locks up again.

Many players accept the game, maybe take one shot and disappear hoping you end game so shows as a win for the. Opened two new games which players accepted just today and neither one ever fired a shot. They need to have a time limit for moves or you forfeit.

Battleship has been a favorite game for me and my Family. I have played MANY app. Versions of this game and I find this version outshines the rest. Of course, like any other new game, There are someadjustments that need to be addressed, but it is a fun game for the whole Family. .As far asI'm concerned it the BEST! Connie

This is a great game, unless you are playing Russians, because they have figured out a way to cheat by overplaying ships or placing them abutting each other so that you can never sink all their ships. Also, the ships even misalign badly when an opponent enters the game to the point of being illegally positioned leaving one only two options. Quit the game, or play illegally and piss off your opponent who can’t possibly win with the way your ships are aligned. FIX IT!

This app is too easy to place ships wrong so cheaters can always win and it’s pointless to play the game when people cheat! No way to report these people no updates on game ever!!!

Illogical restriction where you cannot have ships adjacent to each other. Searching for opponents takes forever. Never played even once... deleted app in frustration!

As others have said, it’s laggy and has significant issues with interplay between the players. It occasionally ignores shots, or scores them as landing where they were not aimed. It also doesn’t tell you when you’ve lost - you just keep waiting for the other player to shoot. You have to cycle to the other screen to find out that you lost, and even then, it normally shows their final shot as missing the target. Finally, the ranking system is ridiculous. According to the rankings, after playing only 21 games (16 of which I lost), I’m ranked in the Top 10 players. Not even the top 10 percent (which would have been hard enough to believe), but the Top 10 players. Unless there are only 11 players, ...

I downloaded this app due to Hasbro's inefficiency to offer a quality Warship app. This app is Free and the in App purchases are much less than Hasbro's. We use the screen name we selected on Apple Gamecenter. Another plus is We collect experience level up points every time we play the app. Much much better than Hasbro's lame attempt at a Battleship app. Thank you.

This game was disappointing. It’s multiplayer only which means my kids can’t play and it doesn’t work on flights. No games against the AI. Two stars at best.

Very laggy game. A lot of bugs. It won't tell you won, just said that some sort of error happened. That doesn't say you lost, just keep playing and waiting. If you won, it won't count as complete game and won't count in your achievements. Etc. A lot of bugs! Plus it's very slow... Also there should a way to penalize those, who stopped playing at the very last shot because they obviously loosing. They stay like that for days and there is nothing to do. I have 14 games like that hanging in the air, because opponents are obviously loosing and simply stopped playing because of that...

This one is great, a good tribute to great classic game. Only thing I would add is an ability to play against an AI. I also could see the aesthetics and presentation of this game being better, but not complaining, I don't think I could do any better.

Fix notifications so they work! And tell me when I have lost!!

No way to play anymore without Game Center

Terrible. Not easy to set up a game with friends at all.

The game is fun and easy enough. Notice freezing and glitches from time to time and the strange thing is it doesn't tell you when you lose...have to keep refreshing.

Loved it! My brother has an iPhone now... Now I can't add him a friend to battle? 5 stars down to 1. Why did you turn an awesome game into garage? Who's fault is it??? Please update software and I will rate you 5 stars. Thank you

Won't let me play game with random opponents.

this game works.. if you know how to work around the bugs. sometimes it is like it doesnt let you play, sometimes it doesnt show the game ended etc. these are all refresh bugs on the client, the server is working. just goto main game page again and get back inside, it will resync in you're in a game, if the game ended it will show that too!

I was having fun with this game for two games until I was winning and couldn't get the last ship because the space was greyed out. It was a three spot ship and two were bombed but there was no other space to hit. My opponent even showed me a screen shot that showed that was where his ship was. If the developer fixes the glitches this game would get 5 stars.

I really liked this game and wanted to rate it higher. What lost points for me is that a player doesn't have to lay in their ships to play. So while that player can make hits and sink ships you can't ever hit them back. Super annoying since you loose because they sink your stuff or because you quit the game. Would also be nice if you could play against a computer or pass and play.

This is a great rendition of the venerable Battleship game of my childhood. A good addition would be to allow some different variations, such as getting to shoot only the number of shots relative to the number of ships you have left. So if you have three ships left you get to shoot myself out of three for your turn.

Doesn't recognize you and therefore doesn't allow play. After 16 games.. we're done.

If it worked. "Requires game center ", there is no reason to force the user to sing in, but ok. Select "Sign in" and ...nothing. Tried and tried to sign in but game will not work.

It is mandatory to login to game center to launch the game.

Good game to pass by time and can get addictive

This is a fun and addictive game. It does have several short comings. Many times it will take an hour to find an opponent, and sometimes will end the game in the middle saying your time ran out, even though your last move was only seconds ago. Then getting someone to stick with the game until the end is also a challenge.

I like the game, but twice now I have lost because my opponents boats were allowed to overlap and so it was impossible to hit all of the targets. Otherwise known as cheating. Not hard to fix. Very frustrating. I won't be playing any more.

I like this game except for 1 thing. When I lost the game to my dad, nothing came up about me losing. It was like he was still playing and I was waiting for my turn. But, on his screen, it had a box that said "you won" and the scores. And it wasn't until I resigned that it said "you lose". If we were playing but not in the same location, this would be annoying not knowing that you lost.

How can someone have played 10,000 games when it is so slow? Makes me thinks bots are being used. Please reduce the timer to like 1 hour.

I love the game however when I try to start a new game by the username search all that comes up is a friend request to be sent which is no longer supported by IOS 10. Is there another way to start a game with a specific user that is not on Facebook?

Does not load games

It's a great game but after apple did it's last update it doesn't allow you to add new friends now that Game Center is gone. I hope they fix this cause I really did enjoy this game.

I have played this game for years, has always been reliable & fun. My only complaint is that I have other family members that want to play and it can no longer be found on the open market.
